Camille Coron

I am research director at INRAE. I am a member of the SOLsTIS team of the MIA-Paris-Saclay laboratory.

I develop and study probabilistic models for the life sciences. My work focuses in particular on the genetic evolution of biparental populations on the one hand, and on the combination of datasets of different qualities, with applications to ecology and the environment, on the other.

My recent work has dealt with the distribution of the probability that a gene originates from a given ancestor in a biparental population with selection, and with the impact of a periodic environment on the mutation–selection balance.

I teach mathematical models for population genetics in the M2 Biodiversité Ecologie et Evolution, and I am in charge of the Master 2 Mathematics for Life Sciences.

Previously:

I did my PhD at the Centre de Mathématiques Appliquées of École Polytechnique, under the supervision of Sylvie Méléard. I was then a Hadamard Lecturer, and later an associate professor (maîtresse de conférences) at the Laboratoire de Mathématiques d'Orsay and at the IUT de Sceaux.
